St.Patrick’s day jewelry roundup

St.Patrick's day jewelry

I am big fan of Nora Roberts and I have read a good many of her books. I particularly love the way she describes Ireland and Irish myths in her books. Moreover, the Irish Gaelic words and names that she uses are so poetic that it makes up dream of a hill by a beach where faeries live in pretty cottages. So this St.Patrick’s day, I would like to revisit all the jewelry that I have made before to celebrate this holiday.

As a kid whenever I thought of Ireland I thought of Leprechauns and how they would hide a pot of gold at the end of of a rainbow. I remember running towards a rainbow (whenever I spotted one) as a kid to look for a leprechaun. Weird isn’t it? Because the adult me would probably prefer to find that pot of gold instead of a cunning green creature. Here is the Gold at the end of the rainbow necklace tutorial that I posted in March 2013 inspired by this bedtime story.

I love leafy green Succulents with Karpooravalli is my favourite as it a medicinal herb too. It clears common cold, sour throat while promoting digestion and elimination of toxins from the body. If you cannot eat it raw you can make a tea along with Tulsi (Holy basil) and add honey to ease it down your throat. To pay homage to this zingy herb, I made the succulent leather necklace for St.Patrick’s day post in 2014. Here it is

Greenery

Remember the Pantone color of the year โ€“ Greenery post in January this year where I showcased earrings inspired by the color greenery? Well, I had shown a sneak peak of the greenery necklace there which I had made for BeadsNFashion blog. It is a two strand slightly asymmetrical beaded necklace that uses green glass briolettes with emerald green rounds, turquoise green ovals with and muted aventurine rounds.

Do check out the earrings that I made for the post below. You could substitute the mutlicolored sari ribbon for a green ribbon if you want to go monochrome this St. Patrick’s day.

With that we come to the end of my short St.Patrick’s day jewelry roundup. I had fun revisiting old posts from my blog and I hope that you had fun too. One day I hope to visit Ireland and walk through the dreamy landscapes that Nora writes about. Until then, I am content with vividly imagining it or binge watching Game of Thrones

I hope you found it interesting

Great collection of jewelries as a tribute to St. Patty’sDay – the rainbow necklace is just fantastic – especially with the pot of gold at the end ๐Ÿ™‚ and this year’s earrings are just superb!
P.S. Fan of Ireland too. It’s on our bucket list. Fingers crossed.

haa, that is a great thing to have in common. My local library has a huge stock of Nora Roberts books so I read them all the time.Infact she is the only Romance writer I read and I am halfway through Bay of sighs now. I would love to see Ireland through your eyes as you document your travels beautifully.

I have never made anything for St. Patrick’s day as it is not very popular in Bulgaria – only foreign residents and younger people who have lived or studied abroad celebrate it. But I realize that we should use every occasion to create to a theme just like bars and restaurants do on this day ๐Ÿ˜‰

We do not celebrate St.Patrick’s day in India and hardly have any Irish pubs. However I love green and keep making green jewelry. So eventually I end up writing the St.Patricks day post every year. It has been a good crowd puller for my blog in the previous years

Oh, and I hit the post button before I could mention that I love the rainbow necklace, too – what a creative interpretation of the stories of the Leprechauns!
