Rose pearl necklace

Long before Pinterest became an addiction and even before I knew such a thing existed, I was in the habit of collecting pictures of to do crafts and jewelry items in a little folder in my comp titled “inspi.”. Whenever I would feel low or was fighting a deadline to make jewelry or was bored with nothing to do, I would do the projects from the folder. I have mostly done everything by now, but one picture that remained untouched from the very beginning was this beautiful flower and pearl necklace. At that time I didnt know how t0 make fabric rosettes and loop pearls so this got permanently shifted to the back seat.

But recently, while creating a new line of jewelry for sale, I found that I had similar materials with me and decided to make my own version of it as I dislike copying designs.

I used some tissue fabric, Swarovski elements crystal pearls (normaler in size than the one in picture), brass wire and soft( velvet) gold colored chain for this project. As crystal pearls are expensive I made my loops bigger and added jump rings in between to lengthen the necklace. Also Unlike the flower in the picture, mine is a single layer ruched flower with a stone center.  It was a broken brad, so I just glued it on and supplemented it with bits of crystal chain. I also added a wire wrapped spiral on one side connect the chain and the pearls.

Honestly I have no clue as to whose design this is, so I am not sure if I can write a tutorial for it. If someone is aware of its creator, please inform me and I will be happy to give due credit.
I love both versions…What about you?? and thanks a lot for all the lovely wishes to my Blogoversary post.

cheers
