Beadaholique Contest

I love entering contests as it challenges my creativity and tests my potential. In May, when I chanced upon Beadaholique’s contest, I could not resist participating in it. The challenge is called – “In honour of” where they asked the participants to create a piece of jewelry using beadaholique products in honour of someone special. Naturally I chose to enter my Mother and child necklace from the Chithiram’s collection’s second edition.

“In Honor of My Mother” – Divya N
“In your arms” –  A child from the moment it is born, finds solace only in the arms of his or her mother. Everytime I feel low, I ask my mom to wrap her hands around and to hold me close to her heart. I cannot think of a better image to represent that feeling than the”Mother and Child” painting by her favourite artist of all times – Raja Ravi Verma. The warm and glorious golden tones represent her warmth, and the cool green calci stones her healing prowess, a combination that is both unconventional and striking, just like her.

Beadaholique Contest

It gave me great joy to find out that out of the numerous entries they received, Mine was shortlisted in the final top ten and that by liking the photo, all of you could help me win the contest.
My entry is as above, marked no#3 Voting is now over, alas, I did not win the Beadaholique Contest!
 Thanks in advance
Cheers
