Free color Palette – Rose Garden

Rose Garden color palette

February being the Valentine month, I thought that it would only be right to post a color palette that spoke of romance and love. In Every color has a story – this month, I am posting a rose garden inspired palette which can give way to many vintage style romantic inspirations. Its a simple complementary color palette with rich pinks, greens and a soft blue.

I was going through some linky party links the other day and I came across Penny’s gorgeous vintage home. The way she decorates her house is mind blowing ! Every room looks straight out of a royal boutique hotel!! As I person who has lived in small practical apartments all my life, where you cant even leave a single object on an uncovered shelf for the fear of it becoming dusty, or have any breakable object  (as my mom is scared of breaking them), I cannot even begin to comprehend a room (in a real house) that looks like that. It scares me, to be frank.

Though it a great inspiration, I was wondering if at all something like that is possible in a crowded dingy urban setup. Then when I went to my terrace to shoot my work (for that’s the only place in my building where you get natural light, otherwise it a prison) I saw these beautiful blooming roses that my neighbour had planted and it hit me. Vintage romance is indeed possible in urban spaces, you might have to simplify or think out of the box, but it indeed is possible.

This palette is way outside my comfort zone and its an effort on my part to break the mould and do something new (all about it in the coming up post!!)
For some real vintage romance use real roses and pearls…for more ideas please take a look at my real flower bridal post and Valentine real rose ring DIY.

You can find the previous color palettes here  in the Every Color has a Story series.
All palettes are free to use as inspiration for personal or commercial work with full credit. But avoid using them in your portfolios.
I hope you find it interesting
Cheers
