As a Jewelry designer, I am often asked, if I have a catalogue of my products. Unfortunately I don’t keep a physical one around as I make one off pieces that I don’t repeat. But for people who make more pieces per design, it makes a lot of sense to have a jewelry book.
As social media savvy folks we might not appreciate the value of a physical book when we have Facebook or instagram where we can showcase photos with comments and updates, but there is something about a real book that makes you feel, want and long for its contents.

If its a portfolio, you would want to showcase pieces that show off your strengths – variety, skill level and Creativity

3. Text – Often the right amount of text can elevate your jewelry book to another level. Plan what you want to say and keep it short – A simple bio maybe, your design philosophy and a short write up about the collection would lend authenticity to your book. Pick readable fonts that would gel with the pictures rather than standing apart.

4. Dress it up. Make your book as fashionable as the pieces featured in it. Choose a simple design that doesn’t upstage the design , but still looks chic. Pick a size and paper type that showcases the work brilliantly.
