Cords and ropes – necklaces

What can you do with cord??? Oh so many many things…which only depends on how the cord looks like and what are the other supplies you have in your hand. If it looks bright and funky you can make pop inspired rope bracelet or necklaces out of it and if it looks vintage you can coil it, knot it or even crochet it to make a very vintage looking classic piece. All you need are some cord/rope/thread/yarn, some basic findings and definitely a whole lot of glue.

Over the head Coil necklace (inspired by Egyptian coils) made from a bronze colored cord with metallic insets in it. Super light!!
My favourite combination of greens – in nylon rope and a thick heavy chain that once belonged to a branded handbag. The flower is hand sewn from silk tissue.

One of the simpler pieces a rattail necklace with a combination pendant. The lower gray ring is acrylic and top has rhinestones in it. It has been made keeping the idea of the silk cord necklaces, but with wire instead of the silk thread.

Acid green poly cords spiral together on a leather base to create this stunning beauty.

Where will you wear your cord jewelry to?

I hope you find it interesting.

Cheers
