The two month lock down has allowed me to create a whole bunch of beaded necklaces. Given the nature of the times, I wanted to make simple, easy to wear pieces that will be fun to make and wear. Since they are not concept bound, they were easier to make. It makes this Collection of beaded necklaces lighter on the pocket as well. Still, they are unique. I have never made these designs before and might not repeat them for a really long time. As and when I posted them on Social media, a few sold. Summer Collection of beaded necklaces 2020
These are a collection of simple looped necklaces perfect for a little summer glam. Each piece is inspired by a lockdown activity – virtual tours, online class prep, cooking, and tackling UFOS. They are pocket friendly and in range of Rs.500-800. Unlike my recent pieces which were more Indian in aesthetics, this Collection of beaded necklaces have more of a fusion vibe. Hence they can be worn with pretty much anything from shirts and Tshirts to sarees.
Copper Heart
This is a Copper brown necklace with green accents. The pendant is a handmade brass heart pendant distressed with patina inks. The necklace includes both glass beads in copper, brown, and green and metal dolki beads in gold. Necklace for sale. Earrings complimentary.
Venice necklace
One day in the past month, I treated my mom to a virtual tour of Venice, Murano, and Burano. I took her through the photographs that I clicked there in July 2019 and sort of relieved the experience. It really inspired me to come up with this Venice necklace inspired by the glass making industry, the gondoliers and grills in the palace. This is a looped necklace of Indian chevron and milefiori beads and other glass beads with filigree bead focal. Necklace for sale. Earrings complimentary.
Antique looped necklace
I was looking at Summer fashion shows online when I came across the concept of colourful yet edgy Neo goth look. It is a combination of bright and deep colours mixed in a playful way with dark gothic elements. I instinctively took out self some patina-ed copper wire and antique filgree and wrapped this beauty together. All metal components including the copper wire are sealed. However, I will not recommend it for those with copper allergies or hyper sensitive skin. Antique filigree Necklace for sale. Beaded earrings complimentary.
Warm spice necklace
Though I do not post my cooking experiments on social media, I am a fairly decent cook. Afterall, I too have to eat, right? But people act surprised when I say I cook. Many have told me that they “cannot imagine me cooking.” I do not know what to say in reply. I am neither an extraordinary cook nor can I cook exotic dishes but I cook to eat and eat to live and not the other way around. That is the important we place on food in my family anyway. Now, I am rambling. But since I have been staying at home, I have been helping out with meals a lot more than usual. As a consequence my colour palette at the present is oriented towards spices and warmth.
This warm spice necklace is a looped necklace of foiled beads and opaque glass beads with a distressed casted metal focal at the side. This necklace is for those who seek understated elegance with just a hint of colour. Necklace for sale. Beaded earrings complimentary.

Icy Pastel necklace
The Icy pastel necklace is the first necklace of the collection drawing from my work with pastels for the Bead peeps Swap and hop. This is an asymmetric knotted glass bead necklace with glass glitter pendant in Ice resin. Now, that Summer is here at its all time high, pastels are hear to stay.
Neela Lakshmi Necklace
Goddess Lakshmi is often referred to as Neelambuja, Samudra Thanaya and Neelakshi. They hint to her association with the colour blue – it’s vastness, calmness and kindness. Here is a beaded necklace in blue with Oxidised Laksmi pendant coloured in blue. The colour is permanent and will not fade.
Verdigris Maple leaf
The last necklace that I have for you in this post is the Verdigris maple leaf necklace. I have had this metal base with me for so long that I cound’nt figure out what to make with it. After a few experiments, I decided to antique and accent it. In teal green, black and silver gray I loved how this necklace turned out. It sold almost immediately after I put up the photo on social media.
